Iran’s Qeshm Island to host FICTS festival

The 12th edition of the Tehran International FICTS Festival has been scheduled to be held on Qeshm Island in the Persian Gulf.

The FICTS (Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs) is the organizer of the event, which is the final phase of the World FICTS Challenge that runs in 16 countries, including Iran.

The Qeshm FICTS will be held in collaboration with the National Olympic and Paralympic Committee, the Ministry of Sports and Youth, IRIB (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting) and the Tehran Municipality on June 23-27.

Winners of the festival will be honored during a special ceremony on Qeshm Island.

Winners in each category, including feature films, short films, documentaries, animations and TV shows, will be admitted to the Milano FICTS.

The Milano FICTS in Italy will be held as the final phase of the World FICTS Challenge on October 25-30, 2019.

Founded in 1983, it is recognized by International Olympic Committee (IOC) for which it promotes values of sport through film and television. Some 116 countries are members of the FICTS.
